OUR LAND
Wang Sombun District, Thalland

The Heart of Brett, Puu, & Freya Orchards
In the rolling hills of Wang Sumbun District, Sa Kaeo, Thailand, where the earth hums with the wisdom of generations, lies the vibrant Brett, Puu, & Freya Orchards—a 16.5-rai gem nestled within a sprawling 100-rai family estate. This land, steeped in history, is more than an orchard; it’s the heartbeat of a village born from the vision of a matriarch whose love for family, culture, and the fertile soil of Siam wove a legacy that thrives today.

Long ago, the matriarch’s hands tilled this ancestral land, passing down knowledge of nurturing its bounty through four generations. Her teachings—of caring for the earth, respecting its rhythms, and fostering community—blossomed into a self-sustaining village. The orchard, now tended by Brett, Puu, and Freya, carries forward this tradition, blending Siam’s past with its present. Their 16.5-rai plot, detailed at bpforchard.com, is a testament to this enduring connection, where 327 mango trees stand tall, fruitful banana groves sway, and two-year-old durian trees promise future harvests.

The land itself is a gift. Fed by a pristine natural watershed, the orchard thrives in untouched abundance. A new reservoir, carved at the watershed’s lowest point, captures mineral-rich water from a natural aquifer, pumped by solar-powered systems and distributed through an automated sprinkler network. This blend of tradition and innovation—born from dirt cleared for family homes and powered by the sun—ensures the orchard’s bounty even in dry seasons.

Under the canopy of mature mango, banana, and lam yai trees, the family has welcomed new plantings: durian, avocado, and citrus, each sapling a nod to the future. The annual harvest paints the village with color and flavor—eggplants, fiery chilis, sweet custard apples, earthy peanuts, golden corn, and fragrant rice sustain the community and its local economy. Nearby, bees hum through the blossoms, their pollination yielding 100% pure honey, a golden treasure extracted from the orchard’s heart.
Brett, Puu, and Freya walk the rows their ancestors once did, their hands guided by the same love and stewardship. The orchard is more than crops; it’s a living story of family, resilience, and the land’s unending generosity. In every mango picked, every scoop of soil turned, the village thrives—a vibrant tapestry of Siam’s past, present, and future, woven together by a family’s unwavering care.
